The series ‚Acta Didactica Classica. Bielefelder Beiträge zur Didaktik der Alten Sprachen in Schule und Universität‘ is placed at the intersection of the academic discourse and the teaching methodology of the classical languages Latin and Greek. Primarily articles are published from conferences that deal with topics relevant to school and that are hosted by experts from school and the academic community.

The book series "Archäologentage Otzenhausen – Archäologie in der Großregion" (Otzenhausen Archaeology Days - Archaeology in the Greater Region) consists of the conference proceedings of the international symposium of the same name in Otzenhausen (Saarland, Germany).

The Heidelberg book series Archaeology – Culture – Theory (ACT) shall provide a forum for all those who wish to explore the potential of Classical archaeology as a method of cultural analyses beyond its strict disciplinary boundaries. Therefore, the main question to which publications in the ACT-series shall deliver answers is the following: what may be the specific heuristic value of focusing on the material side of culture, as archaeology does it?

Monographs in the scholarly series ÄSL, that is published since 2019, focus on the study of pharaonic Egypt and encompass all related fields within Egyptology, such as archaeology, religion, art, language and literature. These publications shall consist of both first editions and secondary reprints of first editions.

In the series  „Archäologie und Geschichte. Freiburger Forschungen zum ersten Jahrtausend in Süddeutschland“ the research network „Archäologie und Geschichte des ersten Jahrtausends in Südwestdeutschland“ („Archaeology and history of the first millenium in southern Germany”) based at Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg has been publishing monographs and collected writings since 1986. Founded in 1984 it today comprises the subjects of prehistoric archeology, provincial Roman archeology as well protohistoric archeology and archeology of the middle ages, medieval history and regional history.

"Archäologischen Berichte" (Arch. Ber.) is the monograph series of DGUF. It has been published since 1987, with a frequency of approximately one volume a year. Volume 25 (2014) and all later volumes have been published both in print, and online in Open Access. If needed, additional material and Open Data can be included in the online-version. 

The series “Archäologische Informationen aus Baden-Württemberg” (Archaeological Information from Baden-Wuerttemberg) has a focus on regional topics of archaeological heritage conservation and a predominantly popular scientific orientation. It is complemented by companion volumes for exhibitions as well as more specialized publications such as conference reports. The thematic spectrum covers the entire range of archeology from the Paleolithic to the Early Modern Era, including related natural sciences.

Archäologische Quellen (Arch. Quellen) are a monograph series founded by DGUF in 2017 which serves as a collection of “sources”, i.e. documentation of excavations, finds etc. These are presented without any in-depth research analysis. The sources only offer very few clues on the finds; they serve as raw material for further scientific investigation which can then be presented in future publications. The Archäologische Quellen are published in a print edition and – in collaboration with Heidelberg University Library - online in the golden way Open Access. The online edition may include additional material such as large-format maps of digs and open data.  

These volumes form the final publication of the 19th International Congress of Classical Archaeology, which was held from 22 to 26 May 2018 in Cologne and Bonn on behalf of the 'Associazione Internazionale di Archaeologica Classica (AIAC)'. Under the title 'Archaeology and Economy in the Ancient World' more than 900 presentations, divided into 11 sections and 128 panels, dealt with various aspects of ancient economic history.

In the series, 49 of these panels have been presented as independent thematic volumes. The further contributions are compiled in four collective volumes.

Ars Didactica. Teaching and Learning Classical Languages is a forum for concepts and suggestions for teaching and learning Latin and Greek in schools and universities. The aim is to make learning of Latin and Greek and the studies of their often breathtaking and provoking literature attractive. The collection contains books about didactics and methods of effective teaching and good practice in classics, textbooks, grammars, workbooks and text editions.

The series Ars Didactica - Marburger Beiträge zu Studium und Didaktik der Alten Sprachen, founded in 2015 by Boris Dunsch, Magnus Frisch, Hans-Joachim Glücklich, Rainer Nickel and Felix M. Prokoph, is a forum for publications on the didactics of teaching in ancient languages as well as for textbooks and workbooks on the study of classical philology. The series includes didactic monographs and anthologies on the teaching of Latin and Greek at school as well as "auxiliary books" for their study at university.

The supplements are published by the LVR-Landesmuseum Bonn and the Verein von Altertumsfreunden im Rheinlande. Since 1950 they have been published in loose succession as a series of monographs on the Bonner Jahrbücher.

The series Beiträge zur Altägyptischen Kunst (“Contributions to ancient Egyptian art” – BAK) has been published since 2021 on behalf of the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum Hildesheim and appears in loose succession. This series is specifically dedicated to Art Research and Visual Culture Studies in Egyptology.

„Bodenaltertümer Westfalens“ (BAW) is the LWL-Archäologie für Westfalen's longest running publication series: its first volume was published in 1929. The research results of the Westphalian Department of Archaeology – dealing with single excavations as well as general questions – are published as monographs or collections of essays, covering the periods from the Paleolithic until the Early Middle Ages.

The series serves as the publication organ of the Leibniz ScienceCampus Mainz research programme dedicated to Byzantium, focused on Byzantium‘s role in bridging east and west, and in facilitating cultural transfer and how it was perceived by other cultures, from antiquity until the modern era. The methods and objects of investigation of the disciplines concerned with Byzantium are combined across the boundaries of traditional individual subjects to provide novel perspectives and approaches to research into Byzantium and its material and immaterial culture.

The publication series "Corpus der minoischen und mykenischen Siegel (CMS)" (“Corpus of Minoan and Mycenaean Seals”) currently consists of 13 volumes, some of them in several parts (CMS I-XIII) as well as 10 supplements , publishing more than 9,000 Minoan and Mycenaean seals as well as seal impressions in a standardised format.

"Daidalos" is a publication series dedicated to exceptionally high-quality final dissertation theses written by students of the Instituts für Klassische Archäologie der Universität Heidelberg.

Digital Classics Books is a series of Open Access monographs which is open for contributions such as documents written as part of an academic qualification, produced in the context of a Digital Humanities project. Also eligible are more comprehensive individual works, e.g. collected volumes containing several contributions based around a common subject or theme. 

The DWJ Special Issues are published by Distant Worlds Journal (DWJ) and present interdisciplinary research on ancient societies and their material legacies. Additionally, the Special Issues serve to advertise workshops, conferences and congresses organized and financed by the Graduate School for Ancient Studies Distant Worlds.

The book series „Forschungen und Berichte zur Archäologie in Baden-Württemberg“ contains monographs and collected volumes on the full time span of prehistory, protohistory, the archaeology of the roman provinces and of the middle ages to early modern times. It features excavation and research results achieved by federal state archaeology in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

The newest edition project of the Saxony-Anhalt State Office for Heritage Management and Archaeology was founded in 2012. It serves as a forum for publishing the results of long-term research projects, such as those supported by the German Research Foundation, the Volkswagen Foundation or the »Luther Archaeology« cluster. The aim of this series is to present individual volumes dealing with a comprehensive complex of long term topics on a project-specific basis, usually published over several years.

The series „Freiburger Studien zur Archäologie und visuellen Kultur“ (FAVis) is published by the Institute of Archaeological Studies (IAW) at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg i. Br. Monographs and collected writings focus on the archaeolgy and visual culture of antiquity.  Across the boundaries of traditional disciplines, the series particularly aims at addressing phenomena of image-artefact-relations.

The irregularly appearing series of publications "Fundberichte aus Hessen, Beihefte“ (Find reports from Hesse, supplements) introduced in 1969 is published by hessenARCHÄOLOGIE of the Landesamt für Denkmalpflege Hessen. It includes monographs and anthologies that contain research on archeology and paleontology in Hessen.
