The irregularly appearing series of publications "Fundberichte aus Hessen, Beihefte“ (Find reports from Hesse, supplements) introduced in 1969 is published by hessenARCHÄOLOGIE of the Landesamt für Denkmalpflege Hessen. It includes monographs and anthologies that contain research on archeology and paleontology in Hessen.

In this series of the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum, material overviews are published on specific regional or chronological epochs of prehistory and early history, as well as works dealing with groups of finds from the institute's collection.

Die Schriftenreihe ,Mainzer Althistorische Studien‘ wird seit 1998 vom Arbeitsbereich Alte Geschichte der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz herausgegeben. In ihr erscheinen altertumswissenschaftliche Monographien, deren thematisches Spektrum sich von der Religions-, Kultur- und Sozialgeschichte, über die Literatur- und Sprachgeschichte bis hin zur Wirtschaftsgeschichte der griechisch-römischen Antike erstreckt.

The "Materialien zur Archäologie in Baden-Württemberg" are an open access series of the State Office for Cultural Heritage Preservation in the Regional Council of Stuttgart (Landesamt für Denkmalpflege im Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart). It provides monographs and compilations on all subject areas of archaeological heritage conservation in Baden-Württemberg and all periods from pre- and protohistory through the Roman period and the Middle Ages to modern times.

The irregularly published series of monographs and anthologies "Materialien zur Vor- und Frühgeschichte von Hessen“ was introduced in 1976 and is released by hessenARCHÄOLOGIE of the Landesamt für Denkmalpflege Hessen. The issues comprise outstanding archaeological studies on various research topics in Hesse.

The monograph series addresses interdisciplinary questions on prehistorical, ancient and medieval societies, cultures and their art based on archeological, historical and literary sources.

Open Series in Prehistoric Archaeology (OSPA) is an international, peer-reviewed series of monographs, conference proceedings and edited volumes, which enables Gold Open Access and Open Data publication of high-quality research with a focus on European prehistoric archaeology.

The volumes of this publication series are dedicated to current papers from conferences or workshops which were organized by the Römisch-Germanische Zentralmuseum (RGZM) or in whose organization the RGZM was involved. Some volumes were published in Open Access and as a printed book in parallel.

The series ‘Rheinische Ausgrabungen’, edited by the LVR-State-Service for Archaeological Heritage, presents archaeological research in the Rhineland in the form of monographs and anthologies.

The series "Schriften des Winckelmann-Instituts der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin" present current and outstanding research and exhibition projects of the Institute in various fields of Classical Archaeology in the form of monographs, thematic volumes, conference publications and exhibition catalogues.

The "Schweizer Beiträge zur Kulturgeschichte und Archäologie des Mittelalters" SBKAM has been published by the Swiss Castle Association since 1974 as an annual scientific yearbook.

The publication series “Studies in African Archaeology” (SAA) has been published since 1984 by the Archaeological Museum in Poznań (PL ISSN 0866-9244). The series publishes monographs on the prehistory of northeastern Africa as well as papers from the conference series “Later Prehistory of Northeastern Africa” (LPNEA) which has been taking place in Poland every four years since 1980.

Since 2008, the series of conference proceedings of the State Museum has not only presented the papers of the annual Archaeological Conference of Central Germany, but also papers from other, mostly international conferences held in Halle (Saale). The broad spectrum of conference topics is reflected in scientific contributions from various disciplines.

The series "Theoriedenken in der Archäologie" (TidA) will be published in Gold Open Access and Print on Demand starting in 2023. It will be published by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Theorien in der Archäologie e.V. (AG TidA).
In terms of content, the series stands for reflective and critical scholarship and research across the field of theories and methods in German-speaking, but also international archaeology and related subjects.
