Telling images. Visual narrativity in old Egypt
Narrativity as a concept of science is widespread - even beyond literary studies. In spite of its extensive pictorial sources, ancient Egypt has so far been largely unused. The newly published, revised post-doctoral thesis Nadja Brauns is devoted to pictorial narration and transfers established narrative theories to ancient Egyptian sources with the aim of providing a system for their analysis.
