Propylaeum

This book deals with the architectural heritage built by non-Muslim Anatolian communities that has long been neglected and abandoned and is now heavily ruined and open to vandalism.
It is a product of research missions in the provinces of Adana, Bursa, Elazığ, İzmir, Kayseri and Niğde that were carried out by the Association for the Protection of Cultural Heritage between 2015 and 16.
The buildings were analyzed according to their architectural history, style, plan and construction techniques. Their current status and risk factors including structural and material problems have been identified. In line with their context, recommendations for their conservation and future use were developed.
