Die Burgruine Wulp bei Küsnacht ZH
The ruins at Wulp are the remains of a hilltop castle in the Küsnachter Tobel gorge. Situated on a rocky promontory overlooking Küsnacht on Lake Zurich, the remains of the former Wulp Castle date from the High Middle Ages. The most recent investigations carried out between 1980 and 1982 answered a number of questions thanks to more refined excavation techniques and documentation methods and to the fact that the finds were separated by trench and – where possible – by stratigraphic layer. This volume written by Christian Bader systematically presents all the finds and features examined. The study also incorporates the finds recovered during the excavations in 1920-23 and 1961/62 and the conservation work in 1977/78.
