Neanderthal Subsistence at Kůlna Cave during the Middle Palaeolithic Taubachian Phase: Analyses of the Faunal Remains from Level 11

This monograph presents the results of a detailed study of Neanderthal subsistence during one of the Middle Palaeolithic phases of occupation of Kůlna Cave (Czech Republic), the Taubachian. The presence of several species of animals in the cave bearing traces of human modification, shows the utilisation by Neanderthals of a wide range of local and regional ecosystems during their foraging activities, from riverine environments in the valleys to the highlands above
the cave.
