Dietrich Reimer Verlag

Dietrich Reimer Verlag is a scientific publishing house specialising on history of art, anthropology and archeology. A series of architectural guides of several German cities and a study library containing introductory volumes as well as several reference books are aimed at academics as well as interested amateurs. Together with Gebr. Mann Verlag, Dietrich Reimer Verlag forms a limited liability company (GmbH).

Dietrich Arnold Reimer founded the publishing house in 1845 with the aim to publish only serious and useful books. Today the program includes monographs, conference transcripts and journals. Apart from extensive consulting, the publishing house offers editorial services and international distribution and sales.

Since 2018 works can also be published in Open Access, i.e. on arthistoricum.net – ART-Books or on the homepage of a SFB or DFG project. Additionally, shorter print runs are available in digital print or print on demand.
