The third volume of the Oedenburg excavation publication analyses two civilian settlement areas near the Valentinian fort of Altkirch, with a settlement stratigraphy from the Tiberian period to the beginning of the 5th century with an interruption of about 50 years from about 270/280. It also contains studies on pottery, coins, Merovingian weapons as well as metal workshops, palynology, archaeobotany and fauna.
