A total of three years have passed between the planning and organisation of the 100th Art History Student Congress and the publication of this volume. In the beginning, we were confronted with significant changes to our way of life due to a global pandemic, and even today, we continue to navigate through a time of major events. This closing statement offers a retrospective insight into the organisation of the 100th Art History Student Congress and our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, while also reflecting on other crises and developments that have influenced the organising team's journey
