Abstract Nowadays research relies more and more on data to achieve progress in various scientific domains. To
understand and to be able to reproduce results, it is essential that the underlying research data is available to
scientists - even after a relatively long time. bwDataDiss is an effort to provide infrastructure and services for a very specific group of researchers – namely PhD students – to enable them to store and archive their research data and also to make it available to other researchers.
