Frühe Hilfen für Familien – ein Projekt zur psychosozialen Prävention für junge Eltern in schwierigen Lebenslagen in Ulaanbaatar/Mongolei (2013-2017)
How can young mothers and fathers be supported during the critical phase of their lives when they become parents, if traditional learning and the activation of parenting skills via observation and action in the context of everyday life is no longer guaranteed, as is the case in changing societies?
The prevention program Das Baby verstehen (Understanding the Baby) developed by Manfred Cierpka and his team served as the basis for the project gesund - beschützt - geborgen (healthy – protected – secure). An explorative study in Mongolia examined the conditions for the transfer as well as the acceptance of the program by young parents in the capital Ulaanbaatar.
Ute Hennige, Prof. Dr. rer. nat., Dipl.-Psych., until 2005 university teacher for social work with the Evangelische Hochschule Reutlingen-Ludwigsburg, focusing on social psychology and intercultural psychology. 2007-2015 lecturer on developmental psychology with Fachhochschule Kärnten/Austria. Since 2007 senior expert in Eastern Europe as well as the Near East, Central and Southeast Asia, mainly in social institutions.
Ulambayar Badarch, Dr. med., general practitioner and MA Health Sciences, head of the department of health of the Chingeltei health centre, Ulaanbaatar/Mongolia.
Andreas Eickhorst, Dr. rer. nat., developmental psychologist, head of the research group „Nationales Zentrum Frühe Hilfen” (National Centre for Early Intervention) of the Deutsche Jugendinstitut, Munich. 2007-2013 group member with Prof. Cierpka, Heidelberg University Clinic. Areas of focus: early intervention; systemic family psychology; fathers. Consultant with several parent-infant outpatient clinics.
Manfred Cierpka, Prof. Dr. med., consultant for psychiatry and psychotherapeutic medicine, psychoanalyst and family therapist. Heidelberg University Clinic, senior professor with the institute of psychosocial prevention. Fields of work: psychotherapy research, i.e. OPD; psychosocial prevention, i.e. Curriculum „Faustlos“ (“Fistless”), parental course „Das Baby verstehen“ (“Understanding the Baby”) and „Keiner fällt durchs Netz“ (“No one slips through the Net”), parent-infant consultation and therapy.
