Analytische Tabelle

This book offers a complete list of the textual variants in the manuscript tradition of Hartmann von Aue's Iwein. The variants are grouped grammatically and semantically for all of the verses preserved in the 15 manuscripts and 19 fragments. For each group of variants, the wording of one manuscript (usually that of the oldest textual witness) is quoted. Purely graphical deviations are not taken into account. Verses with semantically relevant variants are emphasised. An introduction explains the criteria according to which the variants were grouped, how the verses are identified and what fundamental observations can be made about the material.

Lorena Pérez Ben (M.A., Santiago de Compostela) is a doctoral candidate at the Iwein – digital project.

Victor Millet (Ph.D., Tübingen) is Professor of Early German Language and Literature at the University of Santiago de Compostela. In recent years he has specialised in digital editions of medieval texts.

Gustavo Fernández Riva (Ph.D., Buenos Aires) is a trained medievalist and scientific expert in digital humanities. He works as Research Assistant at the Heidelberg University Library.
