Das Ziel dieses Buches, „Management of the paediatric kidney transplant recipient” ist es, pädiatrischen Transplantationsmedizinern und verwandten Berufsgruppen praktische Empfehlungen für ihre tägliche klinische Arbeit zu geben. In insgesamt 40 Kapiteln werden 13 Themenbereiche behandelt. Soweit verfügbar, basieren diese Empfehlungen auf internationalen Leitlinien und Empfehlungen für die klinische Praxis oder wurden von erfahrenen Klinikern aus unserer Gemeinschaft für unsere Gemeinschaft zusammengestellt. Insgesamt 52 Autoren, hauptsächlich aus dem Forschungsnetzwerk der Cooperative European Paediatric Renal Transplant Initiative (CERTAIN), der European Society for Paediatric Nephrology (ESPN) und der Gesellschaft für Pädiatrische Nephrologie (GPN) haben zu diesem Buch beigetragen.
